It was strange to think that in the short time Eileen had been in Bastan, Eileen had yet to actually lay eyes upon the one paladin she had created. She had thought that, maybe, she'd catch a glimpse of her, at least, perhaps when she was on patrol. The world still turned, even with the excitement of a new Ahura and a new Spenta, at least so Eileen had heard. She hadn't actually seen either of them when they had been here, but, then again, she hadn't exactly expected to, what with the guild leaders being the more elusive NPCs. And yet, she had thought that out of all the people in Bastan, she might have caught a glimpse of Anais, but no.
She supposed this was how she had wound up at the barracks and the accompanying training grounds once she had gotten directions from a very sweet cleric at the church. Spying on the training grounds was easy enough; they tended to accumulate spectators regardless, and it was easy to blend in, resting her arms on top of the fence that separated those training from everybody else. Even so, the fact that Eileen had purposely come all this way to see a woman who probably didn't know she existed and who would certainly not take the fact that she existed very well seemed to be a bit much. How was she going to explain this to Anais, anyway? It wasn't as though she could walk right up to her and introduce herself as the person who had created her.
Eileen groaned audibly, her head lowering to rest her forehead on her arms. "I am so pathetic..."
Had she said that out loud? Ah, well, too late now.
