she looks at ravi with a surprise blink. people he came with? people other than them? must be paladins if he won't name them]

Well, we'll be here tomorrow, too, if you'll be. Alexander's got another match lined up, of course... did they give you the name of who yet?

[no alex don't give him that look, he feels guilty for having to leave :< ]

I don't know if I will be. I'll come find you, if I am.

[he leans against alex's side, partly in apology, partly providing a reminder/confirmation of his physical presence] Tonight, too. After they leave.

[he straightens, looking at alex in shock with a mild hint of horror]

You're fighting Virelai next?

[omg alex is going to tear virelai up, she doesn't stand a chance]

[she leans over again to look at ravi after his little outburst, but doesn't add anything- someone he knows?]

Ah, don't... [glancing away, kind of nervous. he never mentioned knowing virelai, will they think it's strange for him to be friends with her?]

Don't hurt her too badly, she's young...

She did fine against that spellsword.

She is a berserker, yes? I am sure she is well aware of what may happen to her in this tournament. She may even look forward to it.

[her voice isn't as dismissive as her words sound, she's just being practical about this

as practical as you can get about berserkers anyway]

And besides, Alexander doesn't Fury. She'll be fine.

[omg shot down, he looks a bit crestfallen but also worried]

[look he knows virelai's a berserker but he ALSO knows what alex is like in a fight and goddamn he doesn't wish that on virelai]

[dammit you guys, he has friends other than you two!! don't act like it's a shock when he points that out!]

I met her in the Borderline, back when tensions were building between the berserkers and the paladins.

She was trying to find a way to prove our guilds didn't need to fight.

[socarnivorously]

Was she successful?

[obviously not, since the berserkers besieged Bastan after that... he is looking at them like he is not quite sure why they couldn't have answered that question for themselves]

That's a shame.

[ he's not going to go easy on her anymore than he has today. that is, he's holding back already. anymore would just be an insult. ]

Do you want anything in particular to eat? [contributing is very important! ... even if she doesn't need to eat ...] I can pick something up before we head back to Stonecaster? [since it sounds like they might be going shopping later anyway...]

[Ravi will watch the match, but wince every time Virelai takes a hit.]
