I think maybe you should have said something sooner, and that you shouldn't have proven it the way you did, but I don't hate you, Wallace.

[She meant more in general, but that's good, too! And she does brighten up a bit when he says he doesn't hate her.]

I didn't like lying to you like that. I was going to tell you sooner, but then you got into that fight with the Spenta because he was a player. I was scared you'd hate me, too, so I'm glad I was wrong about that.

But it wasn't, not really. You don't like players, and you lashed out at one of us because of it. I understand why you did it, but for all I knew, you might have done the same thing to me.

[Admittedly, Ravi never struck her as being the sort of man that would hit a woman, but he also didn't strike her as the kind of person who would develop an alternate personality, either.

[She's right about that. Duncan, despite his talk of equality, has always been massively uncomfortable with the idea of men hitting women except in the context of a full-on brawl. Ravi would never throw a punch at a woman unsolicited.]
