so i've got ravi teaching me healing magic. he seems to be doing okay. says he hasn't had another switch since he first left. i told him he was free to come and go if he needed to, give him some space for himself. that seemed to put him at ease.

Yeah. I've kept near the Undertow for now. No buildings. Just trees. Most berserkers seem content to keep to themselves and the wilds nearby if they aren't hiring themselves out as mercenaries. Sometimes it feels more like a wolf pack than a guild. They always struck me as lawless, but I think I understand why losing the Ahura upset the berserkers as much as it did.

The king's another story. And the other guilds. I've never been great with politics. I plan on visiting the druids and telling the Vohu what little I know. If that goes well, perhaps the Vairya and the Armaiti. Not looking forward to those two. I imagine what shreds of civilization Pakerion has comes with more assassin and rogue influence.

Another thing: the greycloaks are keeping an eye you and me, I think. Be careful.

i haven't really had a chance to talk to the vahishta. he's gone off to safta to talk to the asha about the sinkhole in the southeast corner. can't say i'm happy about it but i'll have to trust he gets back okay. should i take any of the other leaders? i'm not sure how many like the idea of being talked at by the spenta. the mazda maybe. sounds like the old one was kind of an ass.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Always trying to find evidence for conspiracies... But I am worried. If nothing else, warning them about the deaths of the previous guild leaders might help them later, even if they believe nothing about other worlds.

Virelai is a bit on the timid side for teaching, but I'll keep trying. I've been trying to take "lessons" from the monsters around here in the meantime. Figured that'd at least be berserker-like.

yeah. i'm just hoping i don't end up with a dead vahishta on my hands. this place swears by his word. the spenta's just the hand that guides his law, feels like. i don't know if that's any better, but i don't want to risk upsetting the balance too much. i'm still too new to get too involved that way anyway. i need to find my own place in here first.

no, he's not too bad. i feel kinda bad for him. they have a pretty strict method of choosing the spenta, so having it come out like this isn't something they were at all prepared for. with a bit of sucking up he's actually pretty easy to get along with. once this switch is over (oh god, i hope it'll be over, i am distracting to myself) i'll be able to get back to getting my armour fitted and everything.
