[Not the crying part, he can tell she's upset and he feels bad about it despite everything. It douses his anger a bit and his explanation is a little more calm than it was going to be]
It's because players still act like they own us. Like we're not real people. Like we don't deserve the same respect they'd give other players. They treat us like objects and tools and still try to use us even though they can't control us anymore. They try to tell us what to do with our lives like they still have a say in it.
And they don't understand why when we get mad at them for it.
Pretending to be Sergeant Vallinar because you thought it was the only way to convince me is using her like a tool instead of treating her like a person. How would she feel, if she saw you doing that? Did you consider her, before you used her?

[It takes Eileen a minute or two before she trusts herself to say more than that. She has to close her eyes and focus on not crying, because, damn it, Anais would be beyond disappointed in her if she just broke down in tears in front of Ravi right now.]
I admit it. I didn't, and she would be offended, but not for the reason you'd think.
[The reason being that Eileen is most likely the last person Anais ever would have thought of as her creator, but Eileen isn't ready to voice that yet. Besides, how would Ravi react if he found out she felt like she was inferior to Anais?]
For the record, though, Sergeant Savarna, I've never once thought of you or any of the others like you as anything other than a person.

[sigh at her reassurance. not at her, at himself. it's true, eileen has been pretty great, as players go, up until the bit where she used Anais to serve a purpose in this conversation.]
[he is just...going to completely change tracks here, let's get away from how players are terrible]
Vallinar said she was interested in speaking with her player.
I think you should write to her.
no subject
I don't know. I'm probably not at all what she was expecting...

[Wait, does that mean he's spoken to Heimdall? No, probably not a good idea to ask about that.]
Are you disappointed?
no subject
Ah...in you? [or in his own player...? that's not really a conversation he wants to have, let's just assume it's her she's asking about]
I think maybe you should have said something sooner, and that you shouldn't have proven it the way you did, but I don't hate you, Wallace.
no subject
I didn't like lying to you like that. I was going to tell you sooner, but then you got into that fight with the Spenta because he was a player. I was scared you'd hate me, too, so I'm glad I was wrong about that.
no subject
[barely constrained grimace at the reminder]
That was...different...
[IT WASN'T REALLY, IT WAS JUST STUPID AND HE REGRETS HOW STUPID IT WAS]

[Admittedly, Ravi never struck her as being the sort of man that would hit a woman, but he also didn't strike her as the kind of person who would develop an alternate personality, either.
And is she overstepping boundaries again? She might be. She isn't sure. Nervously, she asks]
Was that too forward?
no subject
[it's also not comfortable to listen to her break that down for him, just let him disown it okay eileen]
A...bit.
Let's not discuss that here.
[or at all...]
no subject
Sorry, sir. I won't bring it up again.
no subject
Is there anything else?
no subject
[If there was anything else she wanted to tell him, it sort of got lost when she thought he was mad at her.]
