[EVENT] - Valentine's Solstice
Who: Open!
When: Monday the 20th through Wednesday the 22nd (Bonfire on the 21st)
Where: Days' End League Hall
Before/After: N/A
Warnings: Violence (Val/Nova), vomit (a few threads??), fireworks, mention of death
[Valentine is hosting a Solstice party at Days' End! Some got invited, and if she ran into you anywhere for longer than two minutes she may have invited you. There is booze and games and dancing and floral wreaths and festival foods and everything. If Val saw you at the party you may well have gotten wreathed.]
[It's a pretty open-invite party though, so even if you weren't personally invited, wandering in off the street is perfectly acceptable. They've got a few random partiers showing up, both Earthers and Zenners, and there are several Earthers residing on the premisis also in attendance, as well as most of Days' End's members.]
[The bonfire gets lit early Tuesday and Valentine and Flambre keep it going through the day into the wee hours of the night (except for around one hour after sunset where she runs off to attend the druid ceremonies). The majority of the loud partying will likely happen on that day.]

No. It's horrendous.

[This is even more confusing than it normally would be. Thanks, booze!]
no subject
The decades aren't even real, either.
no subject
But...
[She lets out a long sigh.]
If you feel he's your friend, that's what's important, I think. So even if he's insufferable -- and, you know, I got no particular reason to like this guy -- that's okay. It doesn't reflect badly on you for being friends with one of us proles, I guess.

He's your best friend, not mine!
no subject
Stop that, you look absurd.

[now she's hopping up and down more]

[blackmail, yes, of course.]
[artemis, in the course of his research, has loaded himself up with Earth gadgets. He's got his Zen tablet, an Earth one for comparison, a smartphone, and a few other things scattered around his home in various states of dismantling. he brought the phone. much easier to carry around than the tablet without much loss of functionality]
[So he casually takes the phone out of his pocket, aims it at Lera, and starts recording her ridiculous little tantrum.]
no subject
he peers down at the phone which is currently occupying Arty's attention]
Artemisss! What're you doing?
no subject
You! Nova! [unfortunately, she's drunk] He just said you are his bestest of best friends in the whole, wide world!
And then started making fun of me!
no subject
[aside, to Nova] She's obviously from Earth. Do you think she has a Facebook?
[to Lera] Do you have a Facebook?
no subject
The BRILLIANT AUTHOR!
She's a PLAYER, Artemis, can't you tell from looking at her.
[this is especially stupid given that she looks so much like him]
She doesn't have a Facebook because she deleted it. Unless she is stupid.
no subject
[Accusing point at Artemis.]
And... yes, what Nova says is correct.
[please don't kill her, Artemis]
no subject
[he lowers the phone, glancing toward Nova]
You share a hairstyle with a player.
[yup, that's all the insult he needs to give. BITING WIT, NOVA.]
no subject
Well, YOUR hairstyle is
[pause
stupid smile]
Never mind you look great.
no subject
[She makes irritated grumbling noises, arms folding up. At least she's not leaping up and down anymore.]
