[EVENT] - Valentine's Solstice
Who: Open!
When: Monday the 20th through Wednesday the 22nd (Bonfire on the 21st)
Where: Days' End League Hall
Before/After: N/A
Warnings: Violence (Val/Nova), vomit (a few threads??), fireworks, mention of death
[Valentine is hosting a Solstice party at Days' End! Some got invited, and if she ran into you anywhere for longer than two minutes she may have invited you. There is booze and games and dancing and floral wreaths and festival foods and everything. If Val saw you at the party you may well have gotten wreathed.]
[It's a pretty open-invite party though, so even if you weren't personally invited, wandering in off the street is perfectly acceptable. They've got a few random partiers showing up, both Earthers and Zenners, and there are several Earthers residing on the premisis also in attendance, as well as most of Days' End's members.]
[The bonfire gets lit early Tuesday and Valentine and Flambre keep it going through the day into the wee hours of the night (except for around one hour after sunset where she runs off to attend the druid ceremonies). The majority of the loud partying will likely happen on that day.]

decides he doesn't want the attention of so many if val flips her shit, so he throws back the whole thing, then drops it to the ground and crushes the glass underfoot before returning to the two women. ]
I was going to see how I could piss him off this time, but I'm not quite drunk enough to do something that stupid yet.

We better change that then! [let's see, hmm, what's on the table fro Earth... oh hey, Jack Daniels, purveyor of wisdom and good ideas! A bottle of that gets shoved into Alex's hands]

[ he passes the bottle onto val ] And don't even bother with Everea, unless you like the sweet stuff. Saftan liquor's a mixed bag... Got some good and some bad ones.

[She gives it a look-over, then takes a drink from it, letting the stuff sit on her tongue for a moment before swallowing.]

[She goes to point- and then looks at her hands. Fuck yeah she's got a bottle in each! She winds up pointing with the Jack Daniels towards another table]

[Chisaki gets out her lighter, one she bought in the Nenakret, and starts setting up the fireworks. It takes her a bit, in fact, because she has to shove some into the ground. But after a little bit, she has them arranged, and prepares to the first fuse.]
Okay, traditionally, we're supposed to sing a song. It's the national anthem. Just sing along. Goes like...
[Chisaki's face screws up. What were the lyrics again? Something like pockets bread ware? The bongs worst when shared? Uhhhhh]

[Then she start to grin, and twirls a finger about, summoning up a little fire spirit, like a living candle flame, behind Chisaki. Her finger trails, pointing to each of the fireworks, and the little thing follows the motion, lighting each as it passes.]

[The fireworks all begin launching. All at once. Chisaki stumbles back, falling on her ass, and crawls away on hands and knees from the site of the fireworks. There's so many going off now that sparks are flying and smoke is filling the air.]

[Most everyone start shouting/screaming and ducking for cover at the sound, before realizing it isn't an attack and staring up at the display. Then the shouting turns into cheering! For the most part. Flambre included, cheering joyously and flaming up brightly.]
[After the initial hilarity, Val joins in with her own cheering, leaping up and down and clap-no wait, bottles in both hands hmm- she set them down on the table and then leaps and claps boisterously!]

he watches it alongside everyone else, but without the squealing, and bites into his kebab. okay, that display is pretty nice. it's bright and fun. he genuinely likes it.
