[EVENT] - Valentine's Solstice
Who: Open!
When: Monday the 20th through Wednesday the 22nd (Bonfire on the 21st)
Where: Days' End League Hall
Before/After: N/A
Warnings: Violence (Val/Nova), vomit (a few threads??), fireworks, mention of death
[Valentine is hosting a Solstice party at Days' End! Some got invited, and if she ran into you anywhere for longer than two minutes she may have invited you. There is booze and games and dancing and floral wreaths and festival foods and everything. If Val saw you at the party you may well have gotten wreathed.]
[It's a pretty open-invite party though, so even if you weren't personally invited, wandering in off the street is perfectly acceptable. They've got a few random partiers showing up, both Earthers and Zenners, and there are several Earthers residing on the premisis also in attendance, as well as most of Days' End's members.]
[The bonfire gets lit early Tuesday and Valentine and Flambre keep it going through the day into the wee hours of the night (except for around one hour after sunset where she runs off to attend the druid ceremonies). The majority of the loud partying will likely happen on that day.]

wow what is all this fruity nonsense. he picks up a glass that's got all the colors of the rainbow layered on top of each other and gives val a Look.
seriously??? ]
no subject
Are you, like, the lady in charge here?
[Chisaki looks down at the rainbow glass, then looks up at Alex. She grins at him.]
It's so you.
no subject
Ah was, 'parently, but no one tol' me, so ah fucked off an' didn' come back ferra month. [Shrug] In charg'a th' party, though, yeah!
[Looks at the drink, looks at Alex, looks at the drink.]
[Points at Chisaki in agreement, grinning.]
no subject
[ twisting around back to grab another drink, then thrusting it out to chisaki. it has a petrified cockatrice's foot sticking out of it. ] And none for Val because she's right drunk already.
no subject
[Yeah. She just said that.]
Thanks. [She takes a long drink from it, trying to ignore the petrified foot.] What's it called? I'd name it the Footwork.
no subject
[A little charm spell can go a long way you know.]
Hey! [Fine, Alex, she'll just get her own! And she does. Grabbing a bottle of clear liquid with 'Velindin' engraved into the glass. See if she shares with you, Alex. Hmph.]
[Only the really observant would notice the faint twitch of her cheek at Chisaki's comment about eating unicorns.]
Sure, ah guess. If y'can survive th'toxicity.
[No mentioning that toxicity isn't necessarily from the unicorns.]

[CHISAKI'S HEAD THEATER
Chisaki: oh noez necroticorn!
Necroticon: [looks like a giant angry corn on the cob with a skull and awesome fiery hippo legs and a chainsaw for a tail]
Chisaki: eee run away!!]
no subject
Met one'a them once. Rather unfrien'ly sort. All 'yer gunna sufferrrrrr, sickness an' misfortuuuuune, grrrrr!' an' shit. Hmph.
[Paraphrased, certainly.]
no subject
[ he finishes the drink and tosses the empty glass up and catches it ] Where's Flam, anyhow? Scared of the alcohol?
no subject
[She frowns a little. Maybe purity and healing wouldn't taste great on a kaiser roll with some lettuce and mustard. Sucks.]
Who's Flam?
no subject
[And there is Flambre, pretty much prancing around the fire like a, well, flaming loon, the flames on him flickering almost as wildly as the flames on the bonfire.]
[He is a literal 'burning man' sort of!?]
no subject
[ that is flambre, isn't it? that's a fire elemental, isn't it?
alex looks down at his empty glass, then back at the table.
a table full of alcoholic drinks.
oh no he's letting go of val and putting the glass down for a full one, can you see where he's going with this ]
no subject
[Chisaki looks over at Val, eyebrow raised up. She misses what Alex is planning with the boozahol.] Looks like he's having fun, though?
no subject
Ayup. Fire's 'is thing. [She drinks more of her bottled booze. Delicious!]
[Looks to Chisaki.]
What's yer thing?
no subject
he meanders over to the bonfire, watches flambre dance around it for one turn, then...
decides he doesn't want the attention of so many if val flips her shit, so he throws back the whole thing, then drops it to the ground and crushes the glass underfoot before returning to the two women. ]
I was going to see how I could piss him off this time, but I'm not quite drunk enough to do something that stupid yet.
no subject
[Oh, hey, Alex! She looks at him with some mild disappointment on her face.]
We better change that then! [let's see, hmm, what's on the table fro Earth... oh hey, Jack Daniels, purveyor of wisdom and good ideas! A bottle of that gets shoved into Alex's hands]
This is what I drank back home. It tastes fermented dog shit but that's kind of the point.
no subject
That'un's shit fer it anyway, use somethin' bottled.
[She peers at the stuff Alex is handed curiously. Then waits to see if he drinks it.]
no subject
[ he brings it up to his lips, but pauses ] Val, I'd appreciate a little bit more concern for the state of my life. [ then he takes a drink, sloshing it around his mouth before swallowing ] Oh come on, that's not even-- Chisaki, you haven't tasted shit til you've tasted the shit Pakerion puts out.
[ he passes the bottle onto val ] And don't even bother with Everea, unless you like the sweet stuff. Saftan liquor's a mixed bag... Got some good and some bad ones.
no subject
I never had much of their hard stuff. Some Saftan ones, though... [Which is her basis of comparison. She looks at Val, then, and points at the bottle of Jack Daniels.]
Watcha think of that?
no subject
'e won't kill ya. Might singe somma yer hair though.
[Her hand goes up to ruffle Alex's hair before she takes the bottle.]
[She gives it a look-over, then takes a drink from it, letting the stuff sit on her tongue for a moment before swallowing.]
Eh. 's'alright, ah guess.
[She goes to point- and then looks at her hands. Fuck yeah she's got a bottle in each! She winds up pointing with the Jack Daniels towards another table]
They got some'a th'terrible stuff. Nobody wants'a drink it.
no subject
alex wraps an arm around chisaki and val and holds them close-- not tight, but snug ]
Maybe I'm not in the mood to drink. Maybe I'm hungry.
no subject
We could get some meat and cook it on the fire elemental?
[Wait. That's Val's fire elemental. She should be polite.]
I mean, we could get some meat and cook it on Val's fire elemental?
[hm, better]
no subject
Attaway then.
[Oh. Meat?]
Wait. 'at way. [Same general direction, just a different table]
Wouldn' try cookin' it on 'im though, 'e'd jus' say he ain't a stove an' burn it. 'less y'like yer meat charcoal'd!
no subject
A portable stove and a portal heating element are the two best factors in having a fire elemental!
Val! Chisaki has fireworks!
